Dr. Allison Brown

Dr. Allison Brown stands as a testament to the power of mentorship and continuous learning in veterinary medicine. Her journey began in 1995 at Dongan Hills Veterinary Practice, where she worked as a veterinary assistant under the guidance of Dr. Thomas Carreras, who would become an influential figure in shaping her career.

After earning her veterinary technology license in 1998, Dr. Brown's passion for animal care led her to pursue her doctorate at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with honors. Her dedication to the field brought her full circle as she returned to Dongan Hills Veterinary Practice, working alongside her mentor, Dr. Carreras.

A personal experience with healing in her own family sparked Dr. Brown's interest in integrative medicine, marking a pivotal shift in her approach to veterinary care. Through the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies, she expanded her expertise, earning certifications in both veterinary acupuncture and natural nutrition. These additional qualifications enhanced her ability to provide comprehensive care for her patients.

Observing an increasing trend in chronic illnesses and cancer rates among her patients, Dr. Brown pursued specialized training in integrative veterinary oncology. Under the mentorship of Dr. Kendra Pope, she obtained certification as an Integrative Veterinary Cancer Care Practitioner. This additional expertise has equipped her to offer innovative treatment approaches for patients facing complex health challenges, particularly those battling cancer.
